Link Missionaries

We have long been associated with BMS (Baptist Missionary Society). Our current link missionaries are Ruth and Jerry Clewett.

They have returned to work in Nepal having previously served with BMS in Nepal between 1987 and 1994.

After returning to the UK in 1995, Ruth was head of a nursery school and helped establish an organisation to support parents of children with disabilities. Jerry stayed in international development, working for Health Unlimited where he co-ordinated programmes in 13 countries.

In 2009, they went to live in Vietnam where Jerry worked for a Dutch organisation and Ruth volunteered teaching English to street children.

Now returning to serve with BMS, they have been seconded to United Mission to Nepal (UMN) where Jerry is a development manager and Ruth hopes to be involved in teacher training in Nepal.

They have four children, three in their 20′s and a younger daughter, Rosie, who is in Nepal with them.

The Clewetts recently returned to the UK on a short break and we were fortunate to have them visit us here at CBC and give us a further insight of the situation in Nepal and the work they are doing there.

If you would like to know more about their work, please follow this link.
